With an authentic 1889 One room school house, General Store, post office, First black Homestead in Nebraska, 1912 German Evangelical Immanuel Lutheran Church , Texaco Gas Station from Chadron State Park, Baled straw house and much more!. We even have geocaching! Summer hours: 10am-6pm, . Winter hours: weather permitting Fall Festival is held the third weekend in September and features assorted hands-on exhibits, live entertainment, Fast Draw Competition, Native American Dancers, Dutch-oven cooking, bake sales and much more! Your donations and our volunteers keep this facility open! Self guided tours welcome.
