Arnold Center School Museum and Guest House

Step back in time to the days of the one-room school house on the prairie! When you step inside this restored one room school house you will see and feel upclose what it must have been like back then. Complete with authentic late 1800 and early 1900 books, you can come sit in an antique desk, do your lessons on slate board, and listen to stories of days gone by, but be careful the ornery student behind you doesn't dip your braids in his ink well! Once a year 4th grade students of Arnold school spend a day dressed in period clothing, set in the old school desks, and discover the three R's of learning. You too can come see, feel, and learn for yourself. It's the perfect stop for individuals or groups who love experiencing history, not just reading about it, who knows maybe the teacher will be in?
