The Chief Standing Bear Trail follows the former Union Pacific Railroad line, starting in Beatrice, NE along the East side of the Big Blue River and flows through the villages of Holmesville, Blue Springs, Wymore, and Barneston and connects to the Kansas Blue River Rail Trail at the Nebraska/Kansas border. The total trail runs about 37 miles from Beatrice to Marysville, KS. The Homestead Conservation Trail Association acts as the trail manager and the trail corridor is owned by the Ponca Tribe of Nebraska. Rules and Regulations: -Respect private property -Respect other trail users -Stay on designated trails -Do not litter -No hunting or trapping -No motorized vehicles allowed -Stop and yield to all traffic at crossroads Trail Hours: Sunrise to Sunset
