The mission of the Gage County Historical Society is to preserve, enhance, and showcase the unique history of Gage County by connecting our stories to develop appreciation throughout the wider community.

The Gage County Museum is located at 101 North Second Street, Beatrice, Nebraska (corner of 2nd and Court streets). The building is in a 1906 Burlington Passenger Station, the first Neo-Classical Revival architectural style on the Burlington line.


The museum offers an insight into the people, communities, industries, general history of Gage County. See displays about the home of Dempster windmills, and Beatrice Foods. Learn about local famous people, Robert Taylor, Harold Lloyd, Janet Shaw, Gene L. Coon and John P. Fulton to name a few.


The Gage County Classic Film Institute is a part of the Museum that holds yearly Film Events to honor people from Gage County that were in the entertainment industry. www.facebook.com/GageCountyFilm
