The Museum's mission is to connect people to the land through art. Agrarian art celebrates scenes of farmland, natural landscapes, wildlife, farm animals and rural life. Bone Creek continues to receive recognition regionally and nationally for its work by organizations including the Mountain Plains Museums Association, Nebraska Tourism Commission and the Nebraska Arts Council. The museum was founded in 2007. The collection includes works by agrarian artists including Dale Nichols, Robert Bateman, John Steuart Curry, Robert Gwathmey, and Beth Van Hoesen.
