Head up to the northeast part of the state to discover what Stanton, Nebraska has to offer! This community is full of hidden gems that give you the perfect reason to explore.

Spring is coming and what better way to prepare than enjoying the warm weather that’s on its way? Gear up for this year’s golf season by planning a trip to the Elkhorn Aces Golf Course. This 9-hole course is ranked fifth of the Top nine hole courses in Nebraska. Embrace the spring weather and explore the arboretum and native plant display at Maskenthine Lake. Established in 1976, this arboretum is a collection of native and exotic tree species planted in a natural arrangement. While you’re at Maskenthine Lake, enjoy all the other recreational activities this area has to offer including hiking, fishing, hunting and boating.

Looking for delicious food and drinks in the area? Visit one of Nebraska’s popular breweries, Uptown Brewery, and try one of their 10 rotating beers on tap. Hungry? Stay for lunch or dinner and try their “best ever” prime rib.  Still hungry? Stop by Wolf’s Den for the best burger in Stanton and help them celebrate 38 years in business. Finally, finish off the day with some homemade pie from the Stanton VFW.

Get ready for hunting season with Cedar Valley Hunt Club. Go on a hunt led by experienced guides throughout hundreds of acres of privately-owned land. With CRP grasslands, food plots, crop lands, two streams and a large pond, all of the land is managed for hunting productivity. Home to an abundant of pheasant, quail, and whitetail deer, the gently rolling hills provide the perfect backdrop for your hunt.

Learn, connect and relax at Red Roads Herbs Retreat & Learning Center where you can learn hands-on gardening skills and purchase fresh and dried herbs at the gift shop. Explore the Stanton Public Library, recently placed on the National Register of Historic Places. Take a trip to Stanton in the summertime and experience what their community is all about by spending Fourth of July participating in a full day of activities commencing with an A1 fireworks display put on by volunteer firefighters.
