Connecting Agriculture, History and Art: Founded in 1846 as the Mormon Winter Quarters gristmill, it is now home of the Winter Quarters Mill Museum, Art-Loft Gallery and a summer Farmers Market. Pioneers' Hand-hewn and pegged beams are part of its sturdy construction.
The mill and 1915 grain elevator served farmers during Nebraska's Territorial days from the Civil War to the Cold War. The mill is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and has been a historic-preservation project since 1998.
Seasonal: Open Mid-May through the first weekend of October Sunday Farmers Market June to Oct. 10am-3pm. Donations are appreciated.
