The Lower Loup NRD Arboretum features a variety of trees and shrubs, both native and non-native species. The east side of the Arboretum includes a wetlands area and viewing station. There are cement picnic tables positioned in various locations on the north side of the Arboretum. A portion of the Ord Hike/Bike trail runs through the Arboretum and the LLNRD completed its part of the trail loop through the Arboretum in 2013. Resident and migratory bird species use the area, as well as a variety of small mammals. The trail is paved and level and appropriate for walkers and bikers of all ages. There is no admission fee to enjoy the arboretum, which is affiliated with the Nebraska Statewide Arboretum program. Please pick up after your pets and pack out what you pack in. https://llnrd.org/recreation Click here for an interactive tree identifier map: LLNRD Arboretum Tree Identifier
