LINCOLN, Neb. (October 15, 2018) – Nebraska City is being taken over by hundreds of tourism industry professionals. The 2018 Nebraska Tourism Conference is this week, October 16-18 in Nebraska City at the Lied Lodge & Conference Center. This annual event brings the industry together to learn from inspiring speakers, hear the latest updates, honor achievements made by their colleagues and allows time to network with other industry members.
“The annual tourism conference is a great way to get tourism professionals from all over the state together to connect and brainstorm ways to grow the industry,” said John Ricks, Nebraska Tourism Commission executive director. “We can’t wait to see everyone in Nebraska City.”
Conference highlights on Tuesday, October 16, 2018:
8:30 – 10:30 a.m. Nebraska Tourism Commission Meeting, Lied Lodge & Conference Center
11:45 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Conference Welcome & Lunch, Lied Lodge & Conference Center
Keynote speaker, Dean Savoca from Savoca Performance Group, will speak about “Increasing Your Influence: Eight Essential Attributes of Successful Leaders.”
Conference highlights on Wednesday, October 17, 2018:
9:00 – 10:00 a.m. Unsafe Thinking
Keynote speaker and author of the book “Unsafe Thinking: How to be Nimble and Bold When You Need It Most,” Jonah Sachs, will discuss how to trust your intuition, build an organization that embraces intelligent risk and overall how to change the way you approach your work and your life.
3:30 – 4:45 p.m. Nebraska Tourism Commission 2019 Marketing Unveiling
The Nebraska Tourism Commission will unveil the new marketing campaign for 2019.
7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Celebrate Nebraska Awards Banquet
The awards banquet honors the many great achievements made by individuals, businesses and associations across Nebraska to develop and support the state’s expanding tourism industry.
