Nebraska Tourism director travels the state for National Travel and Tourism Week

LINCOLN, Neb. (April 29, 2021) - In celebration of National Travel and Tourism Week (NTTW), May 2-8, the Nebraska Tourism Commission’s executive director, John Ricks, will visit communities across the state to present on tourism in Nebraska and meet with local industry members.

“Tourism is an extremely important industry for the state of Nebraska. I think we all learned just how important travel and hospitality are in making our lives better and our communities more vibrant when we couldn’t enjoy our favorite events, attractions, restaurants and other amenities during the pandemic,” said John Ricks, Nebraska Tourism executive director. “I’m looking forward to meeting with tourism industry members across the state as recovery begins and we look ahead to welcoming travelers to Nebraska this summer.”

The 2021 Nebraska Passport Program begins on Saturday, May 1. Along with the above scheduled events, Ricks will visit Passport stops as he travels for NTTW.
