Nebraska Tourism opens marketing grant cycle
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
LINCOLN, Neb. (October 19, 2021) - The Nebraska Tourism Commission’s application cycle is now open for both the Tourism Marketing Grant Program and Community Impact Grant Program. The programs offer funding opportunities to organizations to promote their events, destinations, community or region to travelers.
“The goal of the grant program is to help make it as affordable as possible for applicants to create and participate in marketing efforts that benefit their local communities,” said John Ricks, Nebraska Tourism Commission executive director. “We want to make sure we’re getting the information out there that Nebraska is a great destination to visit and inviting people to experience all that our unique destination has to offer.”
The Tourism Marketing Grant Program encourages applicants to develop professional photography to promote their destination, attend the U.S. Travel Association’s Educational Seminar for Tourism Organizations or the American Bus Association Marketplace, advertise in the Nebraska Travel Guide and on VisitNebraska.com, take part in marketing efforts through the Commission’s social media programs and more.
Through the Community Impact Grant program, large-scale events can apply for marketing assistance to attract out-of-state visitors in an effort to generate favorable national or international press coverage for the state.
The mission of the Nebraska Tourism Commission is to expand Nebraska’s dynamic and diverse travel industry making it more viable by creating awareness, attracting increased visitors which results in greater tourism revenue and economic gain throughout the state.
