Willa Cather Childhood Home & Historic Sites
Visiting the historic sites preserved and maintained by the National Willa Cather Center is an immersive experience in the places inspired by the life and writing of Willa Cather. A variety of guided tours and activities available for individuals, students, and groups. Visitors can tour seven recently restored sites including the Willa Cather Childhood Home (a National Historic Landmark), Burlington Depot, Grace Episcopal Church, St. Juliana Falconieri Catholic Church, Farmers and Merchants Bank, J.L. Miner House, and the Red Cloud Opera House. A guided Country Tour offers more locations tucked away on Webster County back roads, including the Pavelka Farmstead and other Cather-related sites (advance reservation required).
