Adding to the Collection!

We were doing a few stops one day, one of which was the Collection Museum in Falls City. We were amazed at the collections, but absolutely blown away by all the pigs!! I paint rocks and Craig (Hubby) thought it would be a cool idea to leave a rock at each of the stops this year. So for this stop, I gave Darlene a painted rock depicting a quilt square, telling her if I had known about the pigs I would have painted a pig rock for her. Her response? "You still can!" So a week later we came back with the painted rock as well as a ceramic pig I've had for years and had been wanting to find a good home for it. Here are a few pics of the adventure - a close-up of the pig rock; a picture of Darlene and myself with the ceramic pig I gave her in between us -straw hat and all - on one of the pig display cases, and finally a picture of the three of us again, this time showing the ceramic pig placed in its permanent position in Darlene's collection. She has over 1800 pigs and has cataloged them all! This is definitely one of the highlights of the stops so far. Highly encourage anyone and everyone to go to Falls City, meet Darlene and take in the collections. Great stop!!
