Fantastic Picnic Stop - Victoria Springs

On the way to Victoria Springs we hit some construction work - we followed the lead car and were followed by steamrollers. We all got a laugh of being surrounded by construction vehicles!

We enjoyed a picnic lunch under a picnic shelter while taking in the beauty of Victoria Springs. In the shade, the breeze coming off the small bodies of water from all directions was a nice break from the road. We even spotted some cat-tails growing up by the side of the lake among native grasses. The kids got an opportunity to operate an old fashion see-saw - oh the things these 21st century kids get a kick out of!
