History Without a Book

Rock Creek is a state historical park with a lot of interesting history. We were there on a 3rd Saturday so they had volunteers re-enacting the time period. We watched a blacksmith making pieces in the barn. They were very friendly and happy to answer all questions. We walked all around and saw the restored buildings- hard to imagine what a difficult life they led. The Visitor Center has a short video and many informative displays. Very interesting stuff!
