Prairie Life

We traveled to the Rock Creek Station! We learned about life on the prairie! We saw replicas of log cabins and learned about how people lived without bathrooms, running water, and electricity. It’s good for kids to have an appreciation for the comforts we have today! Like air conditioning! It was really hot that day. We learned about Wild Bill Hickock the men that were shot there at Rock Creek. We learned a little history about the pony express! It was definitely worth the drive out to Fairbury.
