My husband and I left Omaha early on December 28 for a post-holiday day trip and a chance to unwind. Our first stop was in Humboldt, where the Cancer Memorial Garden was featured. We had stumbled upon it earlier in the summer during one of our camping adventures. I am an avid gardener, so I was overjoyed to see the beautiful plantings, memorials, and serenity it had to offer. We were able to spend some time there, what a gem. Since we had already been to the garden, we stopped at the Titan Diner for a good home-cooked breakfast. We were so happy that they still had all their Christmas decorations up!
