A veteran is honored at The Stuhr Museum.

Spending a day at The Stuhr Museum in Grand Island with my 92-year-old father was an inspirational adventure. As a former telegraph operator for the railroad, my father was thrilled to walk into the old train depot and see the telegraph equipment displayed. It didn’t take long for his quick fingers to tap out...”Mississippi” on the old telegraph machine.
Our next stop was to visit the blacksmith who honored my father with a miniature horseshoe for good luck and for his service to our country.
A beautiful day.
