Spring Creek Prairie Audubon Center
What a peaceful setting on a beautiful day!
With such nice weather, we drove to the Audubon Center. It is very peaceful and listening to the birds is so tranquil. I was intrigued by the cross on the sign saying there was a horse cemetery so I asked. The woman who owned the land in the past (and then transferred it to the Audubon Society) had a beloved horse. I believe the name was Jubie. She had him buried on the land and his grave is marked with a marker. It is a bit of a walk from the center. That is the only horse buried there but they also buried their other furry friends, family dogs.
