Worth the drive!

This jaunt was a L-O-N-G one! When we first arrived, it was like we’d driven into another century. A small, recreated prairie town awaited us, complete with a blacksmith shop, mercantile, saloon & of course, a jail. Here they also rent out cabins if you want to stay in this “badlands” of Nebraska longer. Even though we’ve lived in Nebraska all of our lives, the landscape here is like none we’ve ever seen before. There’s a strange beauty in it yet it’s almost frightening in its starkness.
