For 50 years, Table Rock has been known as the Museum Town. The Table Rock Historical Society maintains nine museums, all but one in the Table Rock Public Square Historic District. Included are two unique architectural treasures, a "second-and-third story" Opera House ((1893) and the beautifully decorated old St. John's Catholic Church (1877).
The newspaper museum -- the village's old newspaper office, in an 1894 store - displays the office of their country weekly, a letterpress paper from 1882 to 1974, as it was.
See also a country school house, a log cabin built in 1854, a veterans' museum, a Czech museum, a farm machinery museum, and the Pioneer Museum.
