Scattered throughout historic Omaha there are unique neighborhoods with fine cuisine, entertainment and even fun murals!

Benson
Benson Neightborhood Omaha Nebraska
Benson, a historic neighborhood, northwest of Omaha’s downtown area, is known best for The Waiting Room – a nationally recognized indie rock club. Before and after the concerts, regulars walk up and down the Benson “strip” stopping into their favorite Benson hot spots including Beercade, Benson Brewery and Infusion Brewing Co. 

Blackstone

Visit Omaha’s Blackstone District, home of the classic reuben sandwich. The American staple was created back in the 1920s at the Blackstone Hotel, which was recently revitalized as the Kimpton Cottonwood, an exciting boutique hotel, offering Midwestern warmth with a dose of European-inspired glamour. Visitors can taste the original reuben recipe just across the road at Crescent Moon. Other Blackstone District favorites, Coneflower Creamery, Farnam House Brewing, Scriptown Brewing Company and The Blackstone Meatball.

Dundee

Home of Warren Buffett, Dundee is a charming historical neighborhood. In recent decades new modern establishments have moved in to the full-of-history buildings. Some favorite restaurants include Amsterdam Falafel and Kabob, Pitch Pizzeria, Dundee Dell and eCreamery, where Buffett was once spotted getting ice cream with Sir Paul McCartney (true story). Cute shops in the neighborhood include Dundee Candle Co (pour your own candles!) and Exist Green.

Little Bohemia

Little Bohemia, also known as Omaha’s melting pot, was shaped by immigrants from all across the globe and that influence is still felt today. In this lively neighborhood you’ll find the Tiny House Bar (which is exactly like it sounds), Pretty in Patina (an upscale secondhand store where you can find loved goods from Chanel, Louis Vuitton and more) and Archetype Coffee. This area offers big Instagram appeal with photo ops aplenty.

The Old Market

The Cobblestone streets welcome you to Omaha’s Old Market- the cities most entertaining district. This historic area is full of local restaurants, unique lodging, live music and shopping. The Old Market is a  must stop around the holidays when the trees fill with lights, the streets fill with carolers and shoppers take in all the season festivities.
