Spring

Take in the blooming flowers or enjoy an outdoor festival. But dress warm – it’s still a little chilly.

Consider visiting in March to witness the great sandhill crane migration, when nearly a million cranes stop along the Platte River. Birders should also circle May on their calendars to see the spring shorebird migration.
